Colorado with G&G Vitorria

You may all remember the last time we tried to make this trip and that it was unsuccessful. Peanuts were not allowed on this time and we made it to our destination, Mosca, CO. It was such a fun trip!! We drove all day Monday and took a detour, actually we took a wrong turn which caused us to go 50 miles total out of the way. The trip should have only taken us 9 hours, but took us 10. Luckily we had a DVD player and Adalie was able to watch some movies to keep her occupied. At one point Adalie was unhappy and not listening to Nate and because he felt helpless in the front seat he threatened to take her nose. I laughed pretty hard, especially when Adalie freaked out that he would do such a thing. Once we arrived, G&G Vitorria had dinner waiting for us. The next day we just hung around the house all day which is my kind of vacation!! We played a lot of games which was a ton of fun. Grandma Vitorria made us lots of good food! Nate and I think we gained an extra pound or two from the trip. Wednesday we went to the Great Sand Dunes and then drove into Alamosa for some shopping. We came home and of course played some more games. Grandpa was being nice to everyone in the games and kept winning at the same time. We left early Thursday morning and drove all day with no detours, which was nice! G&G Vittoria live at the base of these mountains (bottom right)

I love these pictures of Hallie. She is such a happy baby!! She was so good on the trip. The far left pictures are of their backyard with some doe.

The Great Sand Dunes. It felt so good to walk barefoot!

Adalie loved Grandma's cookies as you can tell. Grandma also got out the Alligator for Adalie to ride and Adalie had to have Grandma ride it with her.

I wanted to add some pictures of my cute family
They are from left to right starting at the top:
Adalie went to bed with all her books one night
Precious Hallie
My cute husband and daughter Adalie bought me a BEAUTIFUL rose
Funny Adalie
Adalie went and gave her toys to Hallie
Nate and the girls playing one Saturday morning

Aunt Lynette's House

One Saturday morning we drove down to Price with other Hill family members and had lunch at aunt Lynette's house. They have lots of animals and a four wheeler, so we were all entertained.

The Devil Strikes Back .....

Ashley was at it again!! She had some baby roosters mailed to us!! Nate and I got a phone call early Friday morning from the post office saying "your chickens are here". We knew right away that it was Ashley!! Don't turn us into PETA because the chickens were well taken care of and Nate is taking them to their new home south of Provo to some guy that wants to raise them. We did get a little attached (I am an animal lover for the most part). Although, I think Nate is more sad than me to see them go. What makes it easy for me to let go, is that I know what they are like full grown and they are VERY annoying and smell bad!! I don't know if I have the energy to keep going...this might be it for pranks ;)

I am really sad because this is this most updated picture I could find of my Grandpa (That is Adalie in the picture not Hallie). I took several only months ago and can not find them ANYWHERE on my computer!!

We went to the funereal on Monday and it was a nice funeral. There were six Pallbearers, Nate, my brother Mike, and three cousins, Chris, Nate, Josh, and a family friend. It seems like my grandpa was sick for most of my life. I didn't get to know him as much as I should have. I know he was a good and honest man and well respected.

We love you Grandpa!

Video Of My Girls

Okay I know I have posted a ton lately so sorry if you are sick of us.......
Today I got some cute video of our girls. I have felt bad because I do not have a ton of Hallie at this age on video like I did of Adalie. Here is a shot of Hallie smiling and cooing.

video

I also got some video of Adalie right before she went to bed. I know I already posted some video of her singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow, but she now knows the song by herself. She was sick of singing it by the time I pulled the camera out so I had to bribe her with some candy.

The Unforgettable Pranks

Pranks are normal in my family especially when you surround yourself with my cousin Ashley. Also, I must mention that if you do not understand my family, you will think we are rude and not funny.
How it all started......
One day I was talking to Ashley on messenger and she wanted me to view a video a family friend had posted on their facebook page. Well I was not friends with that person at the time and so Ashley gave me her user name and password so I could view the video. Well I though I would be funny and post on family member's pages that "I was fat and ugly". Ashley of course did not know that I did that and so later that night she got several emails regarding the post. She called me and freaked out and all I could do was laugh. She decided to get me back and did it so fast when I was least expecting it.
That Monday I was flying to New York and had a layover in San Diego, which is where Ashley lives. Ashley and I had discussed earlier (before any of the pranks) that she would get a gate pass and meet me at our gate to see us. Well she came alright with signs about my "huge weight loss". Before I got off the plane she had the gate lady announce that I had been a contestant on the Biggest Looser and that I was returning from a camp in Salt Lake City. Ashley also made fliers for all the passengers that were on my connecting flight to New York. As I walked off the plane I could see Ashley with her camera out. I didn't think too much until all of a sudden I heard tons and tons and tons of clapping!!! I came around the corner and it felt like the whole airport was clapping. There must have been 200 people clapping and many of them coming up to me congratulating me. I was so embarrassed. Until my next flight I sat there and people kept starring at me. To make it worse my sister-in-law Jenny was in the back of the plane on the way to NY and talked to a bunch of people who wanted to know all about my "weight loss". After we landed in NY the captain came out and asked me if I was the one from SLC. I told him yes and he said (very sincerely), "Congratulations, that is so great!" I wanted to die and I was speechless so I just ran.
Well of course I had to get her back and I needed something quick. We were planning on going to the Today Show that week and I knew I wanted to do something that was national. If anyone knows Ashley they know that she used to have a crush on a boy from Manila, Utah named John Ross. To this day she gets teased about it (mostly by me). So it was only natural to bring him into this. The night before the show I bought a long blond wig and pretended to be Ashley. We made signs that said "I love John Ross" and "Ashley loves John Ross". We got a few TV appearances and also made the Today Show blog. One of the appearances was next to Bon Jovi which made it even better. To make sure everyone saw I posted videos and a picture on facebook
Well now it is Ashley's turn and who knows what will happen, I am a little nervous.

Look to the right of Bon Jovi. You will mostly see my friend Kadie with a sign.

Trip To New York City

Last Monday to Friday my friends and I (Jenny and Kadie) headed to the big apple for a girls week! My cousin Becky now lives there so we of course stayed with her as she is one of the girls. I had to bring Hallie along, but she was so good through the trip so it was fine. There are so many pictures so I picked a few that told the story and put them in a collage.

We got there at night on Monday so we drove straight to Becky house and went to sleep a few hours later. When we woke up we drove around New Jersey (where Becky actually lives) and went to a great park with excellent views of the city. Once Kiana (Becky's little girl) got out of school we headed to the city for some good food and sight seeing. We went down 5th Ave and saw some pretty cool shops. We made it into the Disney store and FAO Schwarz where the movie BIG filmed the Heart and Soul piano piece. Although, we learned that, that was not the actual key board that was used. The original was smaller. We also made it past the Plaza (every brides dream).

Wednesday morning Jenny, Kadie, and I woke up early and took the bus into the city with Brandon (Becky's husband) and then onto the subway to Rockefeller Center so we could watch the Today Show being filmed live. I watch it most mornings so I really wanted to go and see it. Of course we made signs and had several appearances, but I will get into all that later.....its quite the story. After the show was over we made it over to the NBC store which has some fun souvenirs, but I sadly didn't buy any. I was saving my money for China town. Next we got on a subway and went to Ground Zero. We saw the memorial and found a place to take some pictures. Then we went to China Town....on our way there we ran into some fellow Utahans from Brigham City. It's a small world because they were friends with our Cousin Shannon and Shannon was watching one of the lady's little boy while they were in NY. We loved China town and had to go back a second day. Lets just say our suitcases were very full for the flight home.

Thursday morning was freezing and raining and we went to the Statue of Liberty. It was cool to see, but since it was so cold it wasn't as fun as it could have been. That trip took most of the day so we hurried home and got ready to go into the city to watch Wicked!!! I didn't know tons going into it, just that it was about the witches from Wizard of Oz and that everyone loved it. Well I LOVED it. I told Nate when it was over that we all cried (in our hearts, apparently Jenny didn't cry) because it was so good. It was so much fun to watch and I can't wait to go back and see it again.

After Wicked we went to Carnegie Deli for some pickles and cheese cake. It was good. On our way home we were in the subway and there were hardly any people down there with us so we decided to shoot a 007 movie. Yes, we are freaks, but it was funny....I don't think we will be showing people the movie though. Of course there was a lot of traveling in, out, and around the city.

On our last day we went to Central Park. It was so pretty. We only walked through a small portion of it because we had to get back to catch a plane. However, I did find some time in the park to go for a jog (hope you F.R.I.E.N.D.S. fans are watching)
