Monday was super busy and HOT for us! We live really close to an Amish city so we went to check it out. They have a very large farmers market where we bought homemade pretzels, bread, and popcorn. Then we went on a carriage ride because the only thing the girls wanted to do while we were there was to ride on the horses. On our way out of town we had to hit up a cheese factory for some smoked Gouda that Nate was dying to taste.
That afternoon we joined in on the "Village" festivities (our complex). There was bike decorating for the bike parade, a balloon artist, dinner, and bonfire. It was a great 4th however, we did not go to see any major fireworks which made me a little sad. We finally did see some fireworks this last weekend by taking the girls to a Silver Hawks baseball game (minor league team in South Bend) which they displayed at the end of the game.
The next day the girls and I met up with the other spouses in the MBA program and went to pick raspberries at a U-pick farm. We ate a lot while picking--oops. The next day the Village paid for us to go to the county fair on "Kids Day". They took us over on a bus which was nice. There were a whole bunch of little kitty rides, 4-H animals, and fair food. That day put us over the top. I was sooo tired as were my kids, but I love getting out of the house, otherwise we go crazy!!
We are still really liking it out here. I think we are all adjusting well and LOVE exploring new things!

While we were there Aimee and I were interviewed on the local news--they never aired our shot :(
