Utah

Gary's mom all of a sudden became extra weak and passed away about a week and a half later. It happening so suddenly was unexpected. As soon as she passed I bought a plane ticket to go to the funeral. It was a sacrifice for my family, especially with such short notice, but it was worth it.

This was Ryan and I about to get on our first flight. I was freaking out inside a little. Traveling with a baby is no easy task!

Meanwhile the kids and Nate continued on our planned camping trip with our friends the Adams to the John Johnson Farm.

 Hallie in her element!

We were still dog sitting so Toby went camping

 Wiped out!

Nate had him all ready for church looking sharp

Back to Utah, Ryan could sit on Dottie and smash her, they are about 7-8 months apart.

Ryan started loosing his mind with the lack of sleep

The hardest part for me what missing my girls' first day of school. Hallie was SOOOO ready for kindergarten! She loves it and says she feels like a  big girl. The last two years she has spent with me dropping Adalie off at school and as we drive through the drop off line we scream how much we love her. Adalie is not fond of this, but we do it anyways. Hallie was so excited for us to do this to her. This morning she told me that, that is her favorite part of the day. Reid is my new yeller and Hallie smiles so big and waves and tells us she loves us back. Adalie still looks down and hurries to class.

I love her! She is such a big help! She made sure Hallie and her had signs and she also did both of their hair!

Back to the funeral... This truck was used for caskets back in the day and comes from the Antonino boy's family. Gary drove it from the church to the cemetary.

It is tradition in this family to lower the casket

The strap was stuck and Gary also lost his glasses--luckily they were reading glasses!
 The Gary and Sally family

All of the grandchildren except mine :(

All of these cousins are my girls age. I sat at the luncheon with them and they asked all kinds of questions about Adalie and Hallie. Macy on the far right was born only 2 hours before Hallie.

My dad and Londa came down for my birthday and took me and Sami to lunch

I was getting ready for my first flight home and there was Alex Boye, so I imediately went to him for a picture!

Then I stalked him on my flight......

A blessing it was for me to be able to have Ryan in a car seat on the flight home!

My family is SO good to me! I came home to a clean house with these signs! They will stay up for some time because that's how things roll in my house! Also, Ryan and Adalie have birthdays right after me so it makes sense!

Hallie turned 6!

Hallie turned 6! I can't believe it! I feel like Adalie just turned 6! She was so excited. We like to keep things in the super hero family, so naturally we made a hulk cake. This was my first time working with modeling chocolate and homemade fondant (nope never again) I will always buy the fondant. It was easy to make, but so melty and blah! Oh well! Hallie could have cared less, so that's all that mattered. I vetoed the friend party this year and we just had a family dinner and presents.

She was so excited for this ironing board!

Oh we LOVE this girl! She is so funny and makes life so interesting!

Her own fishing pole!!! She LOVES casting so that's all she wants to do. Catching a fish is icing on the cake.

August

Here are some random pictures, because that is how I do it around here!

Ryan is a WILD man! Adalie set up a blockade and he got through it every time while eating a baby. Ha!

We were at a friends house for dinner and Hallie caught a frog.

I love when they all get along! ......didn't last long, but at least it happened

He thinks he is such a big boy

I have these liquid minerals that I take and Reid wanted to try them out...not impressed.

Ryan strikes again, this is a common theme in our house.

Have you ever watched "Good Mythical Morning?" The girls tried recreating the show. It is called "Good Morning Orrville"

One night while the girls were supposed to be in bed I heard a faint "ouch ouch" and cries trying to be held in. I knew something happened so I ran upstairs. Adalie was bleeding all over the bathroom and hallway. She was trying to cut a string loose from a stuffed animal and stabbed herself. She went into our bedroom and found Nate's leatherman......yeah we were NOT happy! The cut went all the way to her fat layer and freaked her out! Us too a little! We weren't sure if we would need to take her in for stitches, but we decided even though it was deep it was so short of a cut that it would be fine with a butterfly band-aid. I was surprised at how quickly it healed! That night Hallie was so freaked out and bawled while Adalie was getting doctored up. The next morning Adalie told us she felt like she was Isaac and Nate was Abraham from the Bible and that she was going to be sacrificed and was so scared. We had to hold her down so Nate could bandage her up properly. Poor girl, I think she learned her lesson. It was a lesson Hallie learned too!

I started out by bathing Reid, I decided to throw Ryan in there, then Adalie wanted in, then Hallie...

Reid had his first experience at the dentist. He was so scared the night before so we played dentist. He was excited the next morning and couldn't wait to get up in that chair. I have to say that with all of my kids so far they LOVE the doctor and dentist and think it is a treat to get to go.

July

Caught this boy in bed with his sisters. It actually always melts my heart. I always tell him he has to stay in his room, but the secret is, p if they lay down and go to sleep he can sleep in there every night!
Nate sent me this picture. He wanted it on his head!

I love these boys!

Adalie's friend planned a girl party at the park.

We went to the Indianapolis Open House. On our way we stopped in downtown and went to The Spaghetti Factory.

It was SO HOT and HUMID! I'm surprised we're smiling!

It was so beautiful inside! I was glad we got to take our kids through

Dustin came with us because he was in Louisville and it was a short drive for him. We got a hotel together and cramed into every inch of that room....like seriously, it was madness, but funny too.

This poor boy was exhausted

Reid had never been on the diving board before (this shot was of his first jump). Adalie told him to jump with her and he did without hesitation.

Our annual Indians game! We timed it right this year! Got there during the 6th inning, it was dollar dogs night and fireworks! Best game so far!We also rented a hotel that nigth and swam. It was a fun trip!

 The fireworks were so good!
We crave sugar really bad in this house.....we had random ingredients.....it was basically rice crispy treats, sub popcorn, add coccoa powder. SO GOOD!

My girls have a kids cook book and took it upon themselves to make a treat....not bad!

Hallie brought a friend to the pool...hard life!

Okay my friends and I lived at the pool this year! I love it because it's not crazy like the public pool that is way too small! This is a member of our ward's pool. We repay them every year by pulling weeds in the spring at their house. We get our husbands involved, they don't mind doing the work knowing it will keep their ladies sane for the summer!

Overall Ryan liked his floaty, which was great for me keeping track of 4 kids! Next year should be even better! This "kids getting older" thing is pretty awesome!

Ry-ry decided he wants to walk

The nearest temple is in Columbus which is a about a 2 hour drive. I feel bad for our kids. It's a two hour drive down, sit and wait for parents, drive home two hours. We try to make it fun for them. This was our first time at this splash pad. We will be back!

It's called the Bunny Fountains!

Trying to stay entertained at the temple

HA! They decided to get married
