Summer Time and the Livin's Easy.....

We have some awesome friends who allow us to come and swim in their pool whenever we want--sure beats paying for a season pass at the local pool and fighting the crowds!! We hate to take complete advantage so we are trying to help them with their yard work when we can. First we helped with the mulch then I came back and did some weeding. The first time we were there Adalie discovered their cats. They have lots and also lots of kittens. She was sooo excited to play with them. She would not leave them alone for one second. I kept watching her and remembering how much she reminded me of myself when I was little. Anyone who knew me as a kid, knows I LOVED cats. I told Nate if he wanted to know what I was like as a kid, to just watch Adalie that afternoon.
She was their mom and was so worried about them the whole time. She didn't think they could do anything by themselves...
 Reid was not so sure

 Hallie loved the wagon!

 Awesome?!? I think so!

Let the Summer Begin

Hallie finished her first year of preschool. Adalie  graduated and will move onto kindergarten next year. I can't believe how old my kids are!!

Hallie is in the navy blue shirt and pink pants--the only white girl ;)

Adalie absolutely loved Preschool this year as did Hallie

Her class. She is in the back row on the left

This is on a Sunday. Adalie of course was still awake, but Hallie and Nate were out cold.

I LOVE sitting out back to get some rays. Hallie was cracking me up when she came to join Nate and I.

The girls lovin' on each other. If I remember right they got into a big fight about 30 seconds after this shot.....They'll be best friends some day.

Rubbermaid used to be headquartered close to us, they have since moved most of their offices, but they still have a store open. They let you go to a play area with all of their children's toys. My girls are in Heaven when we come here. It's playing "house" on steroids because they have cars, outdoor toys, and lots of houses to choose from.

Nate in on the action as well

Hallie got a new hat recently and wears it 24/7. She sleeps in it which make me laugh. She was being cute here so I had to get a shot.

We're Back!-- Reid Turned 1!

About a month ago our computer freaked out on us. We took it to our computer friend who said the hard drive crashed! I freaked out a little inside because the last 6 months of photos and videos had not been backed up. He said he couldn't recover it, but was going to try one more thing that he heard worked, putting the hard drive in the freezer. Wouldn't you know it, he restored all of our files!! I was so happy!! Anyways, I am going to attempt to update my blog.

 I can't believe he is already 1!!!

He is so cute here that I had to add this one

His Cars cake that I was given specific instructions on by his two older sisters

Finally, Reid has been having a few medical issues (nothing life threatening) and has had to have his blood drawn more than once. This was (I hope) his last one and he was screaming when we walked into the lab remembering the previous 2 times.

Family Time

When our traveling madness was over, we were able to have some family time which was nice!

 I love her little body!

The girls were upstairs playing and came down dressed alike and thought it was so cool!

Near our house there is a pond full of fish to feed. All 3 of our kids love it.

 Outside of a toy store

 My babies! I love them!

This was a rare moment. normally when Hallie is near Reid, he is crying because she is so rough with him. I came in the living room and found this.....he was so happy.

Utah/Wyoming Trip

The last week of April and beginning of May was a whirlwind for our family.  Nate was gone for work for 5 days, came home on our anniversary (7 years), then I left for 5 days for my friends wedding in Wyoming on his birthday. We had about a day and a half together in all the madness to celebrate. Reid came with me on the trip, but the poor kid hardly slept the whole week so he was a REAL treat. Actually considering what he had to go through he did pretty well. The trip was fun but crazy. I had so much going on that I only got to see some people for a total of 30 minutes. As soon and I came home I told Nate I was NEVER doing that again. When I go for something like that I am staying for much longer! Anyways the rest will be in pictures......(I sadly didn't really get any pictures of he trip other than the wedding)

On the last leg to Utah Reid had a buddy sitting behind us. He was only a few days younger than Reid. They loved seeing each other.

The next morning my mom, Reid, and I were able to meet up with Jake and Camille and two of their kids, Maggie and Damon. Our friends from Notre Dame, Aimee and Porter and their family were able to meet up with us there too. It was short, but sweet!

That night was the bachelorette party for Michelle. It was so good seeing everyone. We had so much fun!
Me, Jenny, Michelle, Emily, and Tanna (The Original Crew)

Mr. and Mrs. Varley (Drew is such a great guy!)

Me and Emily waiting for the ceremony to start

 The bridal party
Afton, Emily, Michelle, Kristen, me, and Jenny

This was Reid on the plane ride home. The ride home was much better than the ride out there. I finally stuck Reid on the floor (Safe I know--but sometimes you get desperate!) He was happy, so I was happy!

Cake Boss

Adalie needed to bring treats for her Easter party at school. I helped her make some cookies and we really loved the outcome! Once you get past all of the prep work, the decorating was sooo easy!!!

Adalie was so proud of herself as she should be! After they were dry she very carefully picked out who got which cookie.

Easter--and the rest of the story

We got together with some friends and did a pot luck followed by an Easter egg hunt. My girls were counting down the days until the hunt took place. They were so excited!

Nate climbing a tree just because....

These were the best shots I could get for Easter Sunday...

Reid was so happy that he was not left out and got some candy....okay we all ate it during his nap.....

 Couldn't resist!

 Hanging out in the stroller

Look at me, I'm crawling.....oh wait, no I'm not, just pretending!! Maybe one day....

Yes, I am obsessed with Reid, as is the rest of my family. He was loving on me so much one morning and I was eating it up!!

My babies started soccer! They love it. Nate is assisting with the soccer which makes them even more happy!
Hallie is "Super Boy". She wore the cape to school that day as well....

I love all of my children equally, I promise, despite all of the Reid pictures!
