Over Memorial Day weekend we (Nate's siblings and their families) had the opportunity to go to Zions National Park. None of us had ever been there before so that made it a lot of fun. Since Zions is packed with campers over that weekend Jake and Camille drove down early to get us two spots (THANK YOU J&C!!) Anyways we got there that night and basically relaxed after we got unpacked. The next morning we moved pretty slow but made out way up the canyon on the bus to hike Emerald Pools. There are
actually three of them all at different levels. We started out only wanting to hike to the lower pool and then after we got to each of them decided we wanted to see more. We eventually made our way to all of the pools for I think a total of a 3 mile hike that was pretty steep at parts and the kids did awesome! That night we relaxed with some dinner and dutch oven dessert. The next morning we made it to part of church and then went on a nice drive up another canyon called Zion-Mount Carmel Highway. We drove through a mile long tunnel that was built back in the 1930's so there were no lights in the tunnel. Once we made it through we stopped along a few of the scenic areas. The next morning we cleaned up camp and made our way home. We had a GREAT time and can't wait for the next camping trip!

Closely after getting there we set up the hammocks and the kids had a ball in them
Adalie, Hallie, and Sarah

During the hike
Adalie wanted to ride on Nate's shoulders when he already had Hallie on his back.
Adalie was quite the trooper on our hike

Addie and Daddy in the very cold water

The older kids....for the most part they all made the hike on their own!!

The Whole Gang!

On our drive up Carmel Highway I looked in the back seat and saw this

Adalie and her best friend
Jordyn
Sarah and Ziggy

All the girls on the trip

Jake, Camille, and Maggie

Me and CUTE Nate (with his ugly mustache)

Sweet Hallie with her favorite Mommy

Where did ya'll get those hammocks! I want one to take camping! Looks like the trip was a blast!
I love Zion! Next time you go you'll have to try and do Angels Landing. Its not one for the kids so if you can sneak away for a few hours I totally recommend it! The view is breath taking!
